i had some issues with the x264 caused by non standard resolution and audio codecs of the source movies
so i check and fix the resolution and i use faac codec now
    the recent encode command :
    nice -n 10 ffmpeg -y -i \
    “${make_dir_target}/${sql_movie_file}” \
    -acodec libfaac -ac 6 -ar 48000 -ab 448k \
    -s ${video_width}x${video_height} \
    -vcodec libx264 -vpre slow -crf 22 \
    -threads 2 \
    -f flv \
    “${done_dir_target}/${video}.f4v” > “${info_dir_target}/${video}.f4v.encode.log” 2>&1
the encode script itself is 167 lines 🙂

    cheers
